Social Justice is often listed as the number one reason people join our Congregation.  We are pleased to say that we take this honor seriously and work hard to instill social conscience in to  the hearts and minds of our youngest members too.  Among the many ways we incorporate Social Justice in to the Religious Education program are:

  • Selling homemade gingerbread houses with the proceeds benefiting One80 Place – “Houses for the Homeless”
  • Have the Youth Group participate with World AIDS Day and Transgender Day of Remembrance services held in our Sanctuary.
  • Selling hand-painted bowls at our annual “Soup Bowl Sunday.”  Participants fill their bowls with hearty soups and the proceeds benefit One80 Place.
  • Clothing, book and food drives.
