Mission: The mission of Connecting Circles is to provide ‘small group ministry’ to our congregation. The small group setting allows people to examine spiritual and philosophic topics, respect each others’ thoughts, get to know each other better, share life experiences, and have fun. The intent is to appreciate and foster the spiritual aspect of our lives.
Meeting Logistics: The small groups meet monthly in homes of the members. Generally groups are made up of congregants who live relatively near to each other. A reading or topic is provided to center the group’s time together. The meetings will typically last 2 hours.
Activities: Each group will meet monthly at a time agreed upon by the members of the group. The format of the meetings is determined by the group itself. We have some groups that have dinner as part of the meeting and some that have snacks. A topic or reading is provided to focus the program for the group.
Ways To Serve: If you are interested in joining a connecting circle, contact one of the co-chairs. We will either put you in touch with an existing circle or help you to form a new one.
Helpful Skills: An interest in spiritual growth. An ability to be an active member of a small group that ministers to each other.
