Those of you who have children in the County School System, or know people who do, or are employees of CCSD, should strongly consider going to this workshop.

CAJM’S good work and positive relationship with the Charleston County School District has led them to ask CAJM to co-sponsor a workshop on the value of Restorative Practices.

On Saturday, March 24 we hope you all will register to participate in the event, Believe, Empower, Transform: The Benefits of Restorative Practices.  I have attached a flyer for that event.  Sign in will begin at 9:00 AM and the event begins promptly at 9:30 AM and ends at 12:30 PM when lunch will be served.  We are very excited about this event because we will not only have a speaker sharing the impact of Restorative Practices but eleven trained District staff persons will lead Restorative Practice Circles so that everyone can experience the impact of building relationships.  This is a family-friendly event so there will be a children’s program for kids under the age of 9 and then 10 years and older will get to participate in the event with their own age-appropriate circles.  This event will be at Northwoods Middle School (7763 Northside Drive).  On the attached flyer you will see multiple ways to register by using the QR code, the link or calling the phone number.  It’s very important to have a large turnout of parents, grandparents and kids who can help push the District forward in expanding this much-needed program.  Please feel free to share the flyer and encourage your families in your congregations to attend.  Because we are limited with space, the first 200 registrants will get to attend so spread the word and register asap!

Spread the word among friends and colleagues.
