Eden Keepers – Help our Garden Grow!

The Eden Keepers invite you to join them in the churchyard the first Saturday of each month.  The work party will be from 9 to 12, followed by a potluck lunch in Gage Hall.  Newcomers and old-timers are welcome.  PLEASE NOTE: As the Bridge Run is April 7, we are moving the April work party a week earlier to Saturday, March 31.  Please contact Bob Jontos at 843-376-4576 or rjontos1@gmail.com for more information.

We are looking for teachers for the RE spring session. The session starts on April 8 and is 9 weeks long. Kindergarten – 1st grade (5 students) needs 2 teachers. The curriculum, emphasizing character education  and Unitarian Universalist Principles is fun for the children and accessible for a range of teaching experience. 5-6 grade (10 students) needs 1 teacher to lead the popular “Neighboring Faith” curriculum. In the past, teachers have reported learning as much as the children. Finally, 7-9 grade (7 students) needs 1 teacher. Our social justice curriculum is ideal for this age group and usually sparks engaging classroom conversations.

Please share your skills and presence with our children. Contact Megan Thornton, Director of Religious Education, at dre@charlestonuu.org if you are interested.
