*WEATHER PERMITTING* September 16, 2018 – Part of what defines us as UUs are our principles. Explore the first principle, “The inherent worth and dignity of every person,” as we celebrate Pride Week in Charleston. Chase Glenn is the Executive Director of Charleston’s Alliance For Full Acceptance (AFFA). Wear something colorful!

An Illinois native and Charleston area resident since 2006, Glenn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Belmont University (2000) as well as a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Webster University (2012).

As the 2016 and 2017 Chairman of the Charleston Pride Festival, the city’s annual LGBTQ event with year-long cultural and social programming, the organization has seen increased visibility, attendance and operating budgets. Glenn has also served on several South Carolina nonprofit boards and committees including SC Equality where he chaired their TransAction Committee and the Awareness and Advocacy Advisory Committee at the Charleston Center for Women.

As a transgender individual, Glenn brings deeper knowledge and experience to AFFA’s focus on the trans community, an exciting supplement to the extensive efforts and progress AFFA has led on behalf of the lesbian, gay and transgender populations.
